Microcosm

I have been thinking about the pictures that I took today. I spent time walking among the cacti and focusing on their blooms. Within each blossom hidden among the stems and pollen would be living creatures producing movement. Each new flower was a new and different environment. Off hand I would say that I spotted at least a dozen varieties of bees, bugs, and assorted creepy crawlies. I am convinced that like snowflakes there were no two exactly alike. They differed by color shades and depths, size, texture, and inhabitants. Knowing that the relationship between the living plants and the living organisms must be symbiotic in nature, I marvel at the sheer complexity and beauty of the little miniature systems.
