Discombobulation

I am interested in many topics some of esoteric value but claim to be expert in none.

I’ve noticed through the years that my brain handles spacial recognition in sometimes peculiar ways. The first time I visit somewhere new, I am lost. After many visits, I intuitively know where everything is and stop noticing details.

Recently at work they have inserted a door into what had been a blank wall. Now, several days later I still feel like the world tilts just slightly every time I see the door. My internal spacial recognition filters expect a wall and are not handling the door very well.
